Warehouse cleaning involves more than floor area. Offices, break rooms and washrooms have routine needs; traffic lanes, docks and storage areas present different constraints. A building plan identifies accessible areas and those excluded from the scope.
Information needed for assessment
Describe observed residues, flooring and obstacles. Methods and equipment are selected only after surfaces and site instructions have been reviewed.

Organize cleaning around operations
The site contact should confirm service windows and traffic-separation arrangements. Do not assume an aisle will be clear because a shift ends. Areas must be available, access authorized and instructions shared before the visit. A production or delivery change may require a new sequence.
Which tasks need a separate assessment?
Unusual dust, chemical residues, hazardous materials, industrial equipment and overhead surfaces are not automatically included. The same applies to stock movement and cleaning inside machinery. How can a large site be monitored?
Use labelled zones on a plan and task lists by frequency. Observations should state the exact location and available access. This distinguishes a missed task from an inaccessible area, helping determine the appropriate correction.
